Update from Dr. Fortner

Thank you for your patience as we navigate the continuing changes and recommendations in business, healthcare and our daily lives.

Many changes have occured just in the last week.  The number of confirmed cases in Rowan County has increased and we have lost one of our local citizens to this virus outbreak.  We are senstive to all the concerns and the impact this has on our community, our patients and our loved ones.

Govenor, Roy Cooper, has enacted a "Stay at Home" order effective Monday, March 30th at 5pm.  This strongly impacts most of our local businesses and healthcare facilities.

We have previously limited our services to acute dental emergenices and are treating patients in need at this time.  We are limiting our treatment and evaluating needs on a case by case basis.  We continue to be available to our patients for any questions, concerns or ugent dental issues.

If you have an appointment scheduled in the next 30 days, please consider it cancelled at this time.  Once we have been given the approval to return to work safely, we will contact you to reshedule.

We appreciate your understanding, patience and concern for our dental team at this time!

Wishing you peace and good health!

Dr. Fortner and your dental team

To our dental family,

The growing concerns about the Covid-19 virus continue to make up a great part of our current news and daily conversations.  This is a difficult time for everyone and we are sensitive to the concerns and needs of our dental family.

Based on the recommendations by leading dental organizations and our desire to protect our patients and employees, we have decided to postpone all elective (non-emergency) dental procedures from March 19th through April 1st

We believe that this is our best option in reducing possible exposure and keeping our patients, staff and families safe.

If you have an existing appointment scheduled in the next couple of weeks, we will be contacting you to discuss your specific condition and scheduling options.

As always, Dr. Fortner will be available to our existing patients for dental emergencies.  Please contact the office directly if you experience a dental emergency during this time.

We will continue to monitor the ongoing changes and recommendations of local and national authorities.

Please follow us on Facebook at Don Fortner, DMD for current updates and changes.

We are very thankful for our patients and appreciate your understanding at this time,

Dr. Fortner and your dental team
